An interest has been expressed to see more pictures of the City of Sheffield on the website so "Our Town", a photo album highlighting the city, both past and present, is being added. We need suitable photographs, either standard or digital, of the city that you would like to see on the website. The photos can be emailed to us at sdaver@csumail.com or brought in to Creative Solutions Unlimited, Inc./iStop™ Tech Shop to be scanned. Please include a brief description of each photo.

Thanks for the Memories Painting

The Sheffield Area Community Club, under the guidance of their fund-raising committee, is now releasing the first in a series of limited edition lithography collector prints.
Speltz Studio of Wildlife has been commissioned to paint a collector's picture depicting a Sheffield area scene. The painting will showcase the historic old school. The romantic sunset scene has the beautiful building painted in fun to view the detail. From this original, a low number of regular edition prints and artist proofs will be made. The group will sell these prints for only $35.00 and hopes to raise over $3,000 for their efforts. These prints can be personalized with your choice of pencil remarque sketch.
J.D. Speltz is a ten-time state stamp and three-time national print award winner. The binding similarity in all Speltz Studio paintings would be the drama or story that each tells. In every painting you will find a number of small sparrows somewhere on the canvas. The sparrows in this original represent the Sheffield committee members. The image is 10" x 15" and goes into a 16" x 20" sized frame when matted. Look up speltzstudio.com to view new releases.

If 100 prints are sold by April 22, 2008, the original will be donated.
Early sales help the group earn incentive gifts and the orignal oil painting. All deluxe framed orders paid for the first week receive a t-shirt with the print on it in color!
The original along with an oak clock and pirnt insert and a framed and matted Terry Redlin print will be auctioned off.
Prints must be ordered and paid for by June 30, 2008. A copy of the order form is available on this webpage.
